This Privacy Policy explains how the QR Code for Jira app ("the App"), provided by Sparxsys Solutions Limited ("we", "us"), handles data when installed on your Atlassian Jira Cloud site.

Summary​

QR Code for Jira is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely within Atlassian's cloud infrastructure. The App does not send your Jira data to any external server. QR codes are generated inside Jira and only encode links (URLs) to pages on your own Atlassian site.

What data the App accesses​

To build correct links and labels, the App reads the following from your Jira site, using the permissions you grant at installation:

  • Project, board, and filter details (name, key, id).
  • Issue details (key, summary, and the issue's project) for the issue on screen.
  • Basic user information for the project lead (display name) shown on the project page.

This data is read on demand to render a QR code or label. The App does not build profiles of users and does not use this data for advertising or analytics.

What data the App stores​

The App stores a single piece of configuration in Atlassian Forge storage (hosted by Atlassian within your site's environment):

  • The list of projects for which an administrator has enabled the issue QR code, stored as project id, key, and name.

No issue content, personal data, or credentials are stored by the App.

What data leaves your site​

None. The App makes no calls to third-party services and transmits no Jira data outside Atlassian's infrastructure. A generated QR code contains only a URL pointing to your own Jira site; viewing the linked page still requires the appropriate Jira permissions.

Data retention and deletion​

Configuration data is retained in Forge storage for as long as the App is installed. When the App is uninstalled, its Forge storage is removed by the Atlassian platform.

Data hosting and security​

The App runs on Atlassian Forge. Hosting, data residency, and platform security are provided by Atlassian. See Atlassian's documentation on Forge and the Atlassian Trust Center for details.

Changes to this policy​

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
